Calla Voice runs entirely on your computer. Your voice, the words you dictate, and the pages you browse are never sent anywhere.
What the app does
Speech recognition happens locally, using models stored on your own machine. Audio is processed in memory and discarded — recordings are never written to disk and never uploaded.
The app connects to the internet exactly once: the first time it runs, to download the speech models. After that it works offline.
Your settings, custom commands, trained words, and profile are stored in files on your computer. Nothing is transmitted to us or to anyone else. There are no accounts and no analytics.
What the Chrome extension does
The Calla Voice Browser Control extension lets you click things on a web page by saying their name, and can put numbers on clickable items so you can pick one.
To do that, it reads the visible text and clickable elements of the page you are looking at — only while Calla Voice is running, and only to find what you asked for. That information stays inside your computer: the extension talks to the Calla Voice app over a local connection (127.0.0.1) that never leaves the machine.
The extension does not collect, store, or transmit browsing history, personal information, passwords, or page content to any server.
Problem reports
If you choose “Save a problem report”, the app creates a zip file on your Desktop containing its own log and settings. Nothing is sent automatically — you decide whether to email it.
